Don't be a mule!

Psalm 32:8-9 (New King James Version)

⁸ I will instruct you and teach you in the way you should go;
I will guide you with My eye.
⁹ Do not be like the horse or like the mule,
Which have no understanding,
Which must be harnessed with bit and bridle,
Else they will not come near you.

Young people let us not be like a mule which has to be forced by its master, let us not have to be stricken for God to get our attention, rather let us get close to the Lord, for His eyes are over us to guide us and lead us in the way.

God does not want you to live a miserable life, rather an abundant life so "let us be glad in the Lord and rejoice" for His salvation has come to us.
